Improvisation I & II workshops on Friday night: Ever get into a rut, doing the same old moves, wondering what to do to "spice them up"? In these classes, we will learn a set of movements (fairly basic) choreographed to a specific phrase in a song. From that point, leaders and followers will be given variations to use within the patterns. Allowing you to "personalize" that phrase with the movements that you like, and work for you. The object is that by the end of the workshop, we all have slightly different variations of the same patterns, and we do not look like "clones" on the dance floor. These workshops will contain elements of choreography, body movement (rolls & ripples), syncopations and musical interpretation. Workshop II will build off of Workshop I.
PLEASE BE AWARE - THIS EVENT MAY SELL OUT!!!
Price per workshop
Dances are included in the all-in pass.
To register, please fill out the attached registration form, and mail it with a check payable to Syracuse Swing Dance Society to: Maria Cirino, 98 Sherwood Lane, North Syracuse, NY 13212

Here is Maria's latest "sold out" message:
It seems that the question of the day is "What is open for the Mario
weekend?"
As of right this very minute, this is a run down of the attendence right
now:
Friday
7pm class - 41 spots left
8pm class - 40 spots left (we will accept one more if that person was
interested in both Fri. classes)
Dance - 35 spots left (even though we're short 5 spots from the Friday
classes, if you take the classes, then you can get into the dance that
night)
Saturday
1pm class - 37 spots left
2:15pm class - 29 spots left
3:30pm class - 28 spots left
8:00pm class - 21 spots left
Dance - technically, we are at capacity, HOWEVER, if people still want to
take any of the classes, we're willing to go over capacity and allow them to
come into the dance.
Sunday
1pm class - 42 spots left
2:15pm class - 43 spots left
If you signed up for the classes right before the dances, then we have
automatically put you down for attending the dance. You do not have to
attend if you don't want to, but we wanted to get a pretty good idea of how
many people would be there for the dance.
The price of each dance is $10.00 and Mario said that he would demo on
Friday night!!!
See you there!!
