Between workshop sessions, practice sessions with recorded swing music are planned by S.U. Ballroom Dance Organization (BDO) CANCELED.
You don't need a partner. Everyone will be partnered randomly and then partners will rotate frequently during the workshops. No swing dance experience is necessary to take the first workshop. Please bring a change of shoes (tennis shoes recommended) to protect the dance floor.

Hello dancers.
Here is some IMPORTANT INFORMATION about next weekend's lindy hop workshops with Paul Overton & Sharon Ashe. (please help spread the word!!).
In order to accomodate the large turnout we expect next weekend we have changed the location of Saturdays workshops only...
Instead of the Montessori School, we will be at the Bev. J. Martin Elementary School - corner of Buffalo & Albany St., enter through the playground side of the school. (This is the same gym we held Frankie Manning's workshops).
The location for the Sat. night dance (the City Health Club) as well as the Sunday workshops (the Montessori School) will remain the same.
Please note that Sunday is for experienced dancers only. If you have not been dancing & studying lindy hop *regularly* for the past 6 months or more, please do not register for these workshops. We reserve the right to ask participants to leave (with full refund) if they are not in an appropriate level.
If you are coming from out of town and you need a place to stay please contact Lauren Pecoraro at 387-9283 or Email: lkp8@cornell.edu.
If you are coming from out of town and would like to reserve a space in Saturday's workshops please contact Melanie-Claire Mallison: mallison@cnf.cornell.edu, or call 272-1761. If you have already contacted me, please also contact Melanie to be sure you are already on the list.
We need your help!!! Volunteers are still needed to watch the door for 1/2 hour at the Sat. night dance (free admission). There are 40 volunteer slots to fill for Sat. & Sunday registration!! It's fun, and besides, you get in for free!! Please help us out if you like these workshops to happen, we can't do it all ourselves! If are one of the more experienced dancers then you can work Saturday and get Sunday's workshops for free. And vice versa. Please contact Melanie-Claire Mallison at mallison@cnf.cornell.edu, or call 272-1761.
If anyone would like to help with transporting the large fan to BJM for
Saturday's workshops we'll offer you two free workshops. Please contact
Greg Perreault at 387-6083 or Email: gregp@lightlink.com.
Visiting out of town family members are welcomed as observers on SAturday
(you can sit in the balcony). Please register at the desk.
That's all for now
