This is a community-building and fun event. Families and kids are welcome. Bring a dish to pass and SSDS will provide the meat, veggie burgers, rolls, paper goods, and of course, the music. If you can't bring anything, admission is $5. You don't have to pay the regular $1 park admission since SSDS is paying a fee for the use of the camp. If you're coming North on Route 81 (or South for that matter) you have two path choices you can make. Both routes will get you to Arrowhead Lodge but if you're coming from the south (Syracuse, Ithaca, etc.), the first route through Cicero is quite a bit faster.
The shorter route will have you get off the highway at the Cicero exit (Rt.31). Take a left on Rt. 31 and then another quick right on Rt. 11. Head north on Rt. 11 for about 3 miles and you'll come to a flashing yellow light. At this point you'll take a right onto Mud Mill Road. Travel along Mud Mill Road for about 1/8 of a mile (just over the Rt. 81 bridge) and take your first left onto Ladd Road. Follow Ladd Road around the bend (about a mile) and you'll find the entrance to Arrowhead Lodge on your right hand side just past the intersection where Bartel Road joins the road you're on. Congratulations, you're almost there! Now turn right onto the Arrowhead Driveway and continue back into the private grounds and parking area that is adjacent to the Lodge.
A longer yet less complex route will have you get off the highway at the Brewerton Exit (Bartel Road). Take a left onto Bartel Road from the exit ramp and follow it until it ends in a tee with Ladd Road. At this point you can take a left and then a quick right into the Arrowhead Lodge driveway. Continue back into the private grounds and parking area that is adjacent to the Lodge.
