Guidelines for Frequent Posters

Dear dance instructors and organizers of dance events:

In an effort to limit the traffic on SSDS listserv to a reasonable volume, while providing an accessible medium for information exchange, we adopted the following guidelines for those who post messages regularly.

Important: Our society specializes in swing dancing, but we know that some of our members enjoy a variety of dances. As a service to those members, and as a courtesy to Syracuse area dance organizations who specialize in partner dances other than swing (such as Salsa or Tango), we allow them to post a maximum of one email per week (subject to the following additional limits). Such organizations from other geographic areas are not allowed to post on SSDS list.

Syracuse area or nearby organizations whose events include a significant amount of swing dances (including but not limited to ballroom and country) are requested to follow the following guidelines. We put specific numbers in each item to give you a reference point, not to micro manage your publicity efforts. Please use your best judgement.

If your event is not on the SSDS schedule page, please notify WebSlave. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.
