Mark the above dates on your calendars and join us for free dances at Hanover Square with a diverse collection of bands, listed below. Whenever we can, we made a note about the music genre and the suitable dances for the bands. Come, dance to some great live music, introduce your friends to swing dancing, and help us promote swing dancing in central New York.

On 6/10, 6/24, & 7/08 evenings, SSDS has arranged for local instructors to give free half-hour beginning swing lessons during the first band break (7pm or so) to anyone interested. So, feel free to bring along your two-left-footed friends.

You may want to put on padded shoes as you will be dancing on a hard surface.

Directions

From the South take route 81 to 690 West; from the West take route 90 to 690 East; from the East take route 90 to 481 south to 690 West. The rest of the directions is common to South, East and West. From route 690 take exit 11 to West St (one way), at the first exit turn right on Erie Blvd. After 2 blocks turn right on Franklin, and make an immediate left on Water St. From the North take route 81 to Clinton St exit. Four blocks south of the exit turn right on Water St.

From S.U, Take Crouse, turn left onto Harrison St towards downtown, immediately after University Hospital take a right onto Warren St. Continue for about 4-5 blocks, and park around Washington St & Water St. Hanover Square is on the left, between those two sts.
